Dieser Blended Malt stammt aus den Beständen der Edrington Group. Er besteht aus Single Malts, die zusammengemischt wurden und danach 27 Jahre im selben Fass reiften.

In der Nase bietet er Noten von Milchschokolade und getrockneten Früchten. Die Nase erinnert an den alten Speyside Stil, und an ältere Abfüllungen einer bekannten Speyside Destillerie.

Im Gaumen prickelt der Whisky auf der Zunge, und bietet Noten von Cola Sirup, Schokolade, und eine leichte Trockenheit, die nicht stört, aber eher zum nächsten Schluck verlockt.

Der Abgang kommt und geht in spannenden Wellen.

This is the younger, more powerful brother of our 1980 Blended Scotch Whisky.

This Blended Malt stems from the stocks of the Edrington Group. It is composed of single malts that were mixed together before maturing for 27 years in hogshead number 13.

The nose is immediately greeted by notes of milk chocolate, followed by dried fruit. It is reminiscent of the old Speyside style, and particularly reminds us of old bottlings by a famous distillery in that region.

There is a prickling sensation on the palate, which gives way to notes of concentrated cola syrup, chocolate, and a mild drying sensation, which invites one to take another sip.

The finish comes and goes in waves that play on the tongue.
