Unsere erste Abfüllung ist ein 30 Jähriger Fettercairn, der am 7. Dezember 1988 destilliert wurde. Wir haben uns für diesen Whisky als unsere erste Abfüllung entschieden, da er Noten von tropischen Früchten (insbesondere Ananas) und grosse Komplexität hat, die uns an Whiskys aus früheren Jahrzehnten erinnern.
Dieser Whisky wurde von Signatory Vintage für uns in Fassstärke abgefüllt, und reifte in einem Hogshead. Trotz des Alters hat er immer noch 56.9%.
Wir empfehlen, nach dem Öffnen der Flasche, 5-10cl in eine kleinere Flasche zu dekantieren. Nach ein paar Tagen öffnet sich der Whisky und die tropischen Noten rücken in den Vordergrund.

Our very first bottling is a 30 year old Fettercairn that was distilled on December 7th, 1988. We chose this to be our first ever bottling, over several other great casks from distilleries such as Clynelish and Glen Keith, as it has tropical fruit notes (particularly pineapple) and complexity that reminded us of whiskies from previous decades.
This whisky, aged in a hogshead, was chosen from the stocks of Signatory and was bottled at cask strength at a respectable 56.9%.
We recommend opening this bottle and decanting (or drinking) 5-10cl. After a few days, it opens up beautifully and the tropical notes that we loved come to the forefront.
